ABOUT ME
MINUS. THE. ANXIETY.
I’m Wisdom Warner, a creative producer, art director, strategist, and photographer from Stone Mountain, Georgia, currently calling Atlanta home. I hold a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Advertising and Branding from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a focus on Art Direction. Over the years, my work has been celebrated in ColorBloc Magazine, PhotoBook Magazine, and Visionary Art Collective, with exhibitions in institutions like The Atlanta Contemporary, ICP New York, and Echo Contemporary. I’m proud to have been recognized by the One Club for Creativity and awarded first place by the International Photo Awards committee for Advertising/Self-Promotion, and to be a published author and have my work grace the front cover for Thames & Hudson's Class of 2024 photography book. This work was exhibited and promoted at Photo London in 2024.
My creative journey is rooted in both art and strategy, having created spec work for high-profile clients like Chanel, HBO, and PgLang. I’ve also had the honor of co-curating the 'Articles in Orbit' exhibition at Atlanta Contemporary with Mary Stanley Studios and directing the film Holes, which debuted in Port City Review in 2023. As a photographer, I explore the complexities of culture, dynamic movement, and high-contrast imagery, often through a surreal, baroque lens. My fashion photography is influenced by early 2000s aesthetics, and my subjects are portrayed as larger-than-life figures—reflections of my belief that everyone is, in a way, a "little god."
My creative philosophy is shaped by my late grandfather, Alexander Billy Andrews, who bestowed upon me the name Wisdom. It is his love for philosophy and knowledge that guides my work today. I embrace the paradox of self-reflection, as outlined by Fernando Pessoa, constantly searching for identities within my subjects that mirror my own. This inward exploration fuels both my art direction and photography, allowing me to craft experiences that resonate on a personal and universal level.
Beyond my creative pursuits, I find peace in simplicity: a cup of tea, my feet in the grass, and the gentle hum of frequency waves as I align myself with the earth. If jazz were a person, it would be me—always moving, always evolving, always in tune with the world around me.
